School Policies & Guidelines
To maintain discipline, transparency, and a supportive learning environment, the following policies and guidelines are applicable to all students and parents of Stratton World School.
💰 Rules Regarding Payment of Fee
- All fees must be paid in advance or before the 10th of the concerned month.
- A fine of ₹20 per day will be charged after the due date.
- If the fee remains unpaid until the beginning of the next month, the student’s name may be struck off the rolls and re-admission charges will apply.
- Fees can be paid in the School Administrative Office via Cash or Cheque.
- Cheque payments are accepted only up to the 10th of the month. After that, only cash payments will be accepted.
- Outstation cheques are not accepted.
- If any cheque is dishonored, a penalty of ₹1000 will be charged.
- Parents with more than one child studying in the school must submit separate cheques for each student.
- The student’s name, class/section, and parent contact number must be written on the back of the cheque.
- If payment is made via cheque, Cheque Number, Bank Name, and Branch must be mentioned on every slip.
- Full-year fees may be paid in advance.
- Fees are generally paid quarterly, but a monthly payment scheme may be requested.
- The last quarter fee must be paid before 10 January.
- After the due date, fee payment will be accepted only between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Accounts Office with applicable fine.
📄 Rules Concerning Withdrawals
- A one-month written notice must be given before withdrawing a student.
- In the absence of notice, the complete quarterly fee must be paid.
- If withdrawal occurs after 31st August, the full-year fee must be cleared.
- Transfer Certificate (T.C.) will only be issued after clearance of all dues.
- Students may be asked to leave the school in case of:
- Serious indiscipline
- Unsatisfactory academic progress
- Repeated detentions
- Failing twice in the same class
⏰ Late Arrivals
- The school gate closes sharply at 8:00 AM / 8:30 AM for all classes.
- Students arriving late may be sent back home for the day.
- Three consecutive late arrivals in a month will result in the student being marked absent.
📅 Rules Concerning Absence
- No leave will be granted without a prior written application from parents or guardians.
- Half-day leave is allowed only in case of genuine illness.
- Uninformed absence for 5 consecutive days may result in the student’s name being removed from the rolls.
- Re-admission may require payment of a fresh admission fee.
- Students returning after contagious diseases must submit a doctor’s fitness certificate.
Minimum quarantine periods:
- Chicken Pox – Until scabs fall completely
- Cholera – Until full recovery
- Measles – Two weeks after rash disappears
- Mumps – Until swelling subsides (approx. one month)
- Whooping Cough – 6 weeks
- Jaundice – 6 weeks after recovery
- Medically unfit students will not be allowed to appear in tests or examinations.
- Students must maintain minimum 80% attendance to be eligible for final examinations.
🚌 Transport Guidelines
- School transport routes cannot be modified for individual convenience.
- Students must use only the bus allotted to them.
- Attendance of bus users will be recorded morning and afternoon.
- Students must board and disembark only at their designated bus stop.
- Parents should ensure their child is escorted safely to and from the bus stop.
- Students are not allowed to come in self-driven vehicles.
- In case of emergency, parents may collect their child from school after obtaining permission from the Principal.
🚌 Bus Rules for Parents
- Transport fees must be paid quarterly along with tuition fees.
- Parents must ensure their child reaches the bus stop 10 minutes before the scheduled arrival.
- Bus routes and stops are decided by the school management.
- Complaints regarding bus service should be reported to the Transport In-Charge.
- Misbehavior or indiscipline may result in withdrawal of transport facility.
- Students causing damage to buses will be responsible for the cost of repairs.
- Transport facility is provided at the parent’s risk and responsibility.
🎓 What Is Expected of Stratton Students
- Students should always communicate in English within the school campus.
- They must be truthful, respectful, and responsible.
- They should maintain fairness in sports and activities.
- Students must avoid vulgar language and behavior.
- They should take pride in wearing the school uniform.
- Respect for teachers, visitors, and fellow students must be maintained.
- Students must care for their health, environment, and school property.
- They should develop kindness, courage, discipline, and global respect.
⚖ Code of Conduct & Discipline
- Punctuality is essential. Repeated late arrivals may result in disciplinary action.
- Students must not bring valuable or fancy items to school.
- The school is not responsible for lost belongings.
- Use of mobile phones or electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited.
- Chewing gum and purchasing food from street vendors is prohibited.
- Students must maintain cleanliness and respect school property.
- Any intentional damage to school property will be charged to parents.
- Students must maintain polite behavior and respectful communication at all times.
